LGBTQ+ books available in East Riding Libraries

Following news that Hull City Council had a range of books in their libraries to mark Pride, Councillor Jacob Birch asked the East Riding Council Libraries Team to introduce these.

Councillor Birch said “I am extremely pleased to see East Riding Libraries introduce a range of books to celebrate pride. I am a proud member of this community and it is time that the books in our libraries represent all residents in the East Riding no matter their sexual orientation, race or religion”

These books are fiction and non-fiction titles, from Amy Lamé's 'Pride to Prejudice', to Owl and Fox Fisher’s 'Trans Teen Survival Guide', plus classics like Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando'.

There is also a digital collection of LGBTQ+ titles available as eBooks and eAudiobooks on Borrowbox, free to download using your library card.
